The School Day
How does our school day work?
Our classroom doors are normally opened at 8:45am and children should arrive for registration at 8:50am. It is essential that your child is on time so that lessons can start calmly and without interruption and your child does not miss out on important learning. Football and other games are not allowed before school as there are young children and parents nearby. In the mornings most classes will have English and Maths lessons followed by guided reading with a morning break in-between. After lunch children will have lessons across other areas of the curriculum which may be focussed on a topic that drives their learning in a variety of areas. The school day ends at 3:10pm for infants and 3.15pm for juniors when children can be collected from their classrooms. There is also a breakfast club, an after-school club and extra-curricular activities organised outside the normal school day.
